PART 4 - THE FIRE HOUSE, THE PURPLE PIG AND DICK EASTMAN


This is my fourth blast since July of 2009 concerning the ‘Fire House, the Purple Pig and Dick Eastman.’ It started rumbling in my soul then and we began trumpeting it leading up to the Sacred Assembly in Sacramento in September 2009. This revelation seems to continue to unfold and unpack in incredible and unforeseen ways and I feel it is deeply within the Heart of God in this hour!

We have started work on building these Fire Houses in the 8-City/Regions that the Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies will be held in and the Assemblies ultimately will be a feeder for them. Obviously, this will take a very large and diverse community of friends to establish them and will look a lot of different ways. I believe God is assembling these friends now.

In addition to the Regional Sacred Assemblies, I have been working on the campus of Cal State Long Beach, the 2nd largest campus in California next to UCLA, Sasince August of 2006. It was from this furnace that these Sacred Assemblies and Fire Houses initially received their birth and impetus, and I don’t think this was a coincidence. I was literally set up for what you are about to read, and perhaps also were some of you:

The next 3-sections are a recap of the prophetic history of the Fire Houses if you want to skip them because you are already familiar with them. But, it also never hurts to refresh:



DICK EASTMAN’S OPEN VISION - 1971

A Quick Recap:

In 1964, God spoke to Dick Eastman and told him of a prayer ministry that would start 7-years later on Thanksgiving day that would entail ‘a miracle ministry fueled by prayer.’ He was told that it would be ‘a missing link for world revival’ and that it would involve ‘a movement of intercessors.’ Seven years later in 1971 and on Thanksgiving Day— Dick Eastman had the following open vision:

“I saw a powerful prayer army involving a people who walked with God. Their power was found in answered prayer. Holiness was their joy. Hundreds were joining the ranks as they marched. A revival followed in the wake of their marching.”

“Suddenly, before me, there stood a large wood frame structure. It was a house, a very large house, and I saw a catchy title written on the outside of the center that read: ‘THE FIRE HOUSE.’ An occupant explained the reason for the name to me, “Every town has a fire house to put out fires. We want to see a special ‘Fire House’ in each community to start fires—fires of revival. That’s our ministry, we start fires!”

“Once inside the center I saw the key to the whole program. Glancing to my right, I noted a special room marked by a sign attached to the door that read in large letters across the top: ‘THE GAP.’ Prayer continued in this room day and night, 24/7, without ceasing. Each participant of this center came with the understanding of giving a year of his/her life to prayer and evangelism. The first 6-months were given to prayer; the second 6-months were given to evangelism. They honored and respected the local church and the local church was rejoicing too because it cost them little to maintain this ministry, though it provided an abundance of helpers for all phases of church activity.”

POWERFUL PROPHECY OF THE FIRE HOUSE GIVEN IN THE SACRED ASSEMBLY ON 9-19-09

Flash forward to the Assembly on 9-19-09. We were about three-quarters of the way through the Sacred Assembly. At this point, I was looking for a way to segue into telling the story of The Fire House since it was relevant to the area of Sacramento, since this was where Dick Eastman’s 24/7 Fire Houses were actually located in the early to mid-70s. A man came up and asked to give a prophetic dream he had the night before and the leadership felt a peace to let him and there was a relational connect. Here was the word he gave:

“In my dream, I saw a fire engine that was on fire and it was inside of a fire house/fire station. The flames from the vehicle were burning a hole through the roof. I grabbed my wife’s hand and ran out to the front of the building. Within moments, the entire station was engulfed in flames. Suddenly, an intense bright light came from the center of the flames through the front door. It was so bright, I could hardly look into it! I moved slightly to the left to see what it was. I was then looking through a purple window (Purple Pig) and could see the inside of the building and inside I saw the blazing sun (son)! I woke up.”

I had to pick my jaw off of the ground as I told the Assembly what had just happened! Then later, towards the end of the Assembly, Ted Rose, the CA state Director for the National Day of Prayer, came into the Assembly having not heard this dream/prophetic word given earlier and asked to speak to the people. He spontaneously began prophesying/preaching to the Assembly about the actual Fire Houses in Sacramento in the 70s, the thousands of hours of continuous prayer and the fact that he had been one of the DIRECTORS in the Fire House! Say what!!!



THE LARGEST FIRE IN CALIFORNIA IN 2009

Unbeknownst to us, the day we held the Assembly in Sacramento on 9-19-09, and the day the above fire house prophecy was given in the Assembly, what would become the largest fire of 2009 in California was raging.

It would be named the ‘The Station’ fire because a Fire Station caught on fire in this blaze (Fire Station = Fire House). In the middle of the burn zone, there was a fire house called the Monte Cristo Fire Station (The Mountain of Christ), which is about a .25 mile from the town of Singing Springs, CA (CLICK HERE to see it).

The fire house crew lost its sleeping quarters (wakey, wakey!), but they were able to save the Captain’s quarters (The Captain of our Salvation) and the engine house. This fire station is located in the Angeles National Forest (The Forest of Angels) in the San Gabriel Mountains (Archangel Gabriel). Lastly, and this still has me reeling, this fire station is located 1,500 feet away from a House of Prayer (See Map)!!! Uuuughh!!!



FIREHOUSE: A COUPLE NEW, IMPORTANT DETAILS

A couple of new details I wanted to emphasize to you as more information came available, or was realized:

First, the actual name of the Fire last year was for all intensive purposes ‘The Fire House’ fire (‘The Station’ fire). I only recently made this connection and wanted to point that out to you.

Second, I don’t think it is a coincidence that our next Sacred Assembly in Los Angeles is being held on San Gabriel Blvd (San Gabriel Mountains) and is in Los Angeles County (The Angeles National Forest). This is a miracle!

I had originally wanted to do the Assembly in L.A. due to a dream, but had no idea how this was going to be possible since I couldn’t find a venue in L.A. proper. The venue we finally came upon was completely last minute and a miracle as our original venue had fallen through in Anaheim due to a bizarre scheduling conflict.

Hear me, you DON’T want to miss the L.A Assembly on July 17th! This is a sovereign event! Come from wherever you are in the State!

Lastly, I realized after all of this time that the window the guy was looking through was purple , and I feel this was so that God would connect us with BOTH the Fire House part of the vision and the Purple Pig part of the vision. Very few people know about the Purple Pig part of this story and what it actually means and I plan on talking about that intensively in the next blast, but wanted to put a place marker in the Spirit. You cannot have one without the other.



HOW THE FIRE HOUSE CONNECTS WITH THE SACRED ASSEMBLIES

We see through a glass darkly, but God is speaking and I don’t think we are too far off. God is serious about this Fire House revelation in California. I don’t believe Dick Eastman in his day reached the full magnitude of this word and I believe that much of it has been left to us.

Why is all of this significant? Because at their heart, the Regional Sacred Assemblies are—and always have been—not just a one day prayer, fasting and worship event, as powerful as that is. They are also evangelistic and intended to raise up and identify ‘voices’ and funnel them into two main spheres of influence we are focused on: The Universities and the City Halls.

Since the Assemblies are quarterly, they create a continuum that allows us to come together corporately on a periodic bases, make an Appeal to Heaven, and exhort one another to the work of the Gospel that takes place between them. As one person put it, “Corporate gatherings bring Corporate authority and release Corporate anointing for the Harvest!”

The Assemblies punch a hole in the heavenlies and allow angels to ascend and descend and it is in this environment that we can take land and bring souls into the Kingdom. The model I felt God speak concerning the Fire Houses was: ‘Pray, Fast, Go, Speak!’

The Sacred Assemblies will continue to take place, not only Regionally in the 8-City/Regions, but also at the University level. So far, we have done six Assemblies and they have broken down evenly between the University and the Regional level. I see each as a feeder for the other.


IN CLOSING

The Assemblies and the Fire Houses will happen or not happen based on whether or not a strategic alliance does or does not take place between the: (1) The Praying Churches/Pastors, (2) the HOPs, and the (3) Sacred Assemblies, I truly believe this. These are all wheels-within-wheels and are complimentary to one another.

Combined, I believe they are an irresistible force in the hands of God! These are like the 12-tribes of Israel with different calling and different names, but, in time of war, must come together and fight, even as we all continue to cultivate the ministries that God has given us and occupy that individual land.

As Dick Eastman’s open vision alluded to, it will be the partnership between the Houses of Prayer and the Church/Pastors that will build the Fire Houses throughout California and I believe the Sacred Assemblies are an essential element to them as well. I believe that when these entities begin to come together cohesively, we will find the Revival-Outpouring-Awakeni  ng we seek.

Why must this happen and soon? At the current rate of evangelism, 3% of the population, between 18-30, will be Bible believing Christians as opposed to 65% of the WW II generation. The church is set to lose 50% of its market share by 2025. Not all are leaving Jesus, but a VAST majority. The amount of 18-30 years olds completely outside of the Christian Faith: 45%. The amount of WWII Generation at that age outside of the Faith: 20%. This trend is growing and picking up speed. (Barna).

Insanity is to do the same thing over and over expecting different results. We had better get desperate and now! This unrighteous wave is building and picking up momentum! I don’t know that the Church is in touch with this. God wants to counter this in a radical way!

If any of this has tugged on your heart strings, let’s talk. None of us can do this alone. We ALL need each other! It will truly be done by an eclectic ‘Roundtable of Friends’ with the ‘Fragrance of Friendship’ being the binding, driving force. Blessings to you all!


VISION STATEMENT for the QUARTERLY REGIONAL SACRED ASSEMBLIES

In a nut shell, and with your help and participation, these Regional Sacred Assemblies are like The Call, only smaller, quarterly, in multiple regions of California, and have a few other twists!

So basically, 12-hours of prayer, fasting, worship, declaration, art and open mike in a very spontaneous format.

They will eventually take place in 8-City/Regions within the state, from San Diego to Chico/Redding.

These regions will then converge once a year into a larger Sacred Assembly that rotates throughout the State.

In brief, they are designed to:

1. Assist in breaking open the heavens over regions
2. Act as a feeder for existing Houses of Prayer and help birth new ones, and,
3. Release and identify relevant ‘voices’ of truth into the cultural and societal arenas, initially targeting the Universities and the City Halls through use of ‘Firehouses’ operating under the ‘Pray, Fast, Go, Speak!’ model.

INTRODUCTION

This is the first part of a multiple part series entitled “Why the Sacred Assemblies?“  It seeks to answer some basic questions regarding the Assemblies and prepare us for the upcoming Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (CLICK HERE for details)

Now to switch gears!  If you have never read this series, ‘Why the Assemblies?,’ this will help to explain holistically what I feel the Lord has said about the Assemblies and why.  If you have read it, there are some new elements as the Lord has given more detail in these past 9-months and further clarity. 

Either way, I think you will get a lot out of it if reading it for the first time, or as a review.  We are also going to go deeper than ever before into some of the prophetic history and other unique elements of the Assemblies than before.

I am going to break this up into smaller parts and spread it out between now and the Assembly in Fresno to hopefully begin preparing the ground.  Glad you are along for the ride!



WHY THE ASSEMBLIES? - PART 1

I would like to begin to give the answers to “Why the Assemblies?” This is a question I have been getting for quite some time.  I think it deserves a thorough answer, so stay with me!



THE 12-TRIBES OF ISRAEL

In many ways, each of our ministries and the churches we belong to imitate the 12-tribes of Israel.  And, just like the 12 tribes, each of us have our own unique giftings, callings, purpose and fragrance before the Lord.  But, we also have a common river running through us that links us in the Spirit. 

Like the 12-tribes, there are times when we are tending to our individual tribes, callings ministries and churches.  But there must also be times when we ‘Assemble’ together and unite for war and not let our individuality (more than our differences often times) hinder us. 

The Children of Israel would assemble and make war when a common enemy faced them down.  God would either grant them victory or defeat dependent on the conditions of their heart. 

After war, the 12-tribes would then go back to build, maintain and strengthen their individual tribes, and each would do what they did best on their portion of the wall, while still preparing for the next battle (i.e your ministry, your church). 

These tribes were ready to assemble on a moment’s notice.  It was both in their ‘assembling’ and in the ‘occupation’ of their own land that their strength and effectiveness ultimately came from!

In California and this nation, the enemy stands before us and is mocking us and the living God we serve!  He has unequivocally set himself up in our state and nation and has issued a stark challenge, “WHERE IS YOUR GOD!?”  The only question is, how and who will respond?  These Assemblies are one such response I believe.


 
THE SACRED ASSEMBLY IS WAR

The Sacred Assembly is War!  Not only is it war, it is the equivalent of dropping a spiritual nuclear bomb on a region, of that much I am convinced!  When you bring a hundred, a thousand, or thousands of people together for a sovereign, 12-hour day of prayer, fasting and humbling ourselves before God, the heavenly realms are shaken to their core.  It creates a huge displacement of the forces of evil and opens up a direct gateway and portal to heaven.  God draws near to His people.

Although we call it a Sacred Assembly (name preferred by college students over Solemn Assembly), it could be named anything really, that conveys a soberness, focus and intensity of prayer for longer than the normal 2-4 hour prayer meeting.  It is this sustained intensity over 12-hours that defines it in my eyes.

It is a Supra-Regional gathering, which brings together the diverse Tribes represented in our state.  I feel God will not give us the fullness of His Glory unless some of the regional divides are broken down.  Each region must sacrificially bless the other to receive the fullness of what God has for them.  ALL of the regions are special to the Lord and each have their unique callings and destinies!



NORMALLY, WE ALL GO HOME

The problem is, in the past, we have come to a prayer/worship event and when it is finished, we all go home and say, “My, brother George/Susie, wasn’t that a good meeting!”  Then, we all go back to our lives and talk about ‘what a powerful event/conference/prayer meeting that was!’ 

Like a bomb, we softened up the enemies defenses through our prayer, worship and fasting and created a spiritual space by which ground could be taken in the region, tangible ground, but then we all go home and go about our daily lives. 

In my opinion, this has allowed the enemy to have a field day in the church!  He comes back worse than before and re-entrenches himself.  He then targets the now ‘disassembled’ warriors and begins to take them and their families out, one-by-one. 

I have seen this pattern over and over in my 22-years with the Lord.  This vicious cycle must be broken or we will never impact the society and culture as we desperately need to do in this hour.  The fact is, we are losing them!



OCCUPATION

Hence, really, where the vision of the Regional Sacred Assemblies came from.  Instead of dropping a bomb and then we all go home, we drop the bomb and then continue to occupy the land and take land by continuing the Assemblies within Regions (i.e. the semi-annual/quarterly Assemblies in 8-City/Regions). 

These are obviously a supplement to, not a replacement for, the Houses of Prayer and the Praying Church.  I truly believe there is a symbiotic relationship between the Praying Church, the Houses of Prayer and the Regional Sacred Assemblies.  It is owned by every church corporately, not by one in particular, hence why it will rotate between buildings.

The Assemblies are a super structure that acts as a highly defined catalyst to jump start prayer and fasting if it is lacking in an area, and to energize and draw together the praying and fasting base in a particular region if it already exists. 

At its essence, the ongoing Regional Sacred Assembly is a ‘frame work’ or a ‘platform’ for occupying the land with prayer and fasting and raising up ‘Voices’ after the ‘Pray, Fast, Go Speak!’ model.



IN CLOSING

“You are the Assemblies!”  They belong to YOU!  They will stand or fall based on whether you support them or not!  You are the ‘voice’ God wants to raise up!  You are the leaders!

The Spirit of Reformation and Revival is on the land.  The Sacred Assemblies are certainly not the only gig in town!  There are many, many streams and entities carrying the mantle and heart of God in this hour in regards to Reformation / Revival.  The Assemblies ultimately belong to this vast community. 

At the end of the day, these Assemblies hope to assist and serve what God is already doing in the land.  Blessings to you all!

Hello ALL!

Wow, it’s been a while since I have communicated!  Sorry about that!  I am sure you know how time can get away from you, and it has!  Not only that, but something crazy happened regarding the Fire House revelation that I found out about late last year.  I have been pondering and waiting on the Lord about it and finally feel free to share it here in the New Year.  I think you are going to like this!

PART 3 - THE FIREHOUSE AND THE PURPLE PIG:

DICK EASTMAN’S OPEN VISION - 1971

Since it has been a while since I shared on this, I am going to give you a quick recap of the Fire House revelation Part 1 and Part 2 so you can have a grid for this third part, whether you have read the previous parts yet or not.

In Part 1, we discussed the Open Vision of Dick Eastman in Sacramento and the incredible prophetic word in regards to this vision given at the Regional Sacred Assembly in the Sacramento area on 9-19-09.  In Part 2, we discussed a dream that Lou Engle had concerning Dick Eastman that he shared at Mott auditorium in February of 2009.  First, let’s start with the recap of the Dick Eastman word:

I don’t believe the complete fulfillment of this word ever took place and is still yet to come.  Here’s why:

Unbeknownst to me, the day we held the Assembly in the Sacramento area on 9-19-09, and the day the above fire house prophecy was given in the Assembly, what would become the largest fire of 2009 in California was in full bloom.  In the middle of the burn zone, there was a fire house called the Monte Cristo Fire Station (The Mountain of Christ), which is about a .25 mile from the town of Singing Springs, CA (CLICK HERE to see it).

This Fire Station caught on fire during this blaze!   The fire house crew lost its sleeping quarters (wakey, wakey!), but they were able to save the Captain’s quarters (The Captain of our Salvation) and the engine house.  This fire station is located in the Angeles National Forest (The Forest of Angels) in the San Gabriel Mountains (Archangel Gabriel).  Lastly, and this still has me reeling, this fire station is located 1,500 feet away from a House of Prayer (See Map)!!!  Uuuughh!!!

SUMMARY

O.k., I am pretty dense, but does this really take much interpretation as a ‘type and shadow’?!?!  This revelation, taken together with others I will be sharing in the coming weeks, leads me to believe that this is what the Lord is saying:

• True 24/7 Houses of Prayer / Fire Houses springing up in the 8 targeted City/Regions of California with the Sacred Assemblies acting as a feeder for them

• There will be an emphasis—not just on prayer and fasting—but there will also be a sovereign move of evangelism and powerful voices of Reformation being released into our culture.  ‘Pray, Fast, Go and Speak!’ (think William Wilberforce meets Charles Finney)

• Actual Fire Houses will be set up in the eight regions targeting two of the primary fomenters of culture initially: (1) College Campuses and (2) City Halls.

• These Fire Houses will be established and funded by a joint venture of the Church, Houses of Prayer, the Sacred Assemblies and the Para-Church organizations within the state

• There will be a merging of the generations and the regions

• Holiness will be our joy again

• As Dick Eastman was told—and maybe, just maybe throughout the body of Christ in California and beyond—“Hundreds will join the ranks as the marching begins. Revival/Reformation will follow in the wake of our marching!”

Do we dare to believe that we are on the doorstep of Revival and Reformation?  The Call is coming to Sacramento on September 3-5, 2010 and will create a historic opportunity for California.  However, it must be remembered, The Call will come and The Call will go!  The question in my mind is what are we going to do before The Call, and, maybe even more important, what are we going to do AFTER The Call leaves to capture the momentum it creates?  We have to prepare now.  We can’t just all show up to the party and then all go home and lose everything we have gained.  We have to occupy the land.

This strategy above, I believe, is a blue print for occupation breathed by heaven.  It will be carried out by a very large and diverse company of friends in California representing many different spiritual entities.

Does anyone have faith for this?  Oh man, it is a stretch, I know!  But God is not a man that He can lie.  Are we just being ‘led on’ by God down another dead end road, or is He up to something and asking us to partner?  I truly believe He is asking us to partner with him.  If you are interested, we need your help, lots of help!

VISION STATEMENT FOR THE QUARTERLY REGIONAL SACRED ASSEMBLIES

With your help and participation, we are hoping to launch multiple, quarterly, 12-hour Regional Sacred Assemblies in 8 City/Regions throughout California, from San Diego to Chico/Redding. These are similar to The Call in nature with prayer, fasting, intercession and worship. These regional assemblies will then merge once a year into a larger assembly that rotates throughout the State.

We seek to assist the churches and houses of prayer in the state by helping to:

• Break open the heavens over regions with additional sustained prayer and fasting
• Strengthen and act as a feeder for the existing Houses of Prayer/Praying Churches and to help birth new HOPs, and
• Identify ‘Voices’ of Reformation that can be launched into two key arenas of our culture: the Universities and the City Halls/Centers of Government.

All that we do is based on a precept of “Pray, Fast, Go and Speak!” All these are necessary if we are going to break the ‘matrix’ over the minds of this generation and ultimately seeing the harvest of souls we seek. Will you help us?

VISION STATEMENT

These ongoing, Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) are 12-hours of continuous prayer/intercession, worship, fasting (we urge everyone to fast on water or juice), humbling ourselves, presenting ourselves before the Lord, supplication / proclamation / decree, open mike, prophetic declaration, preaching, scripture reading, scripture medleys, real time spiritual art, and whatever else God wants to do in a spontaneous format in accordance with the Joel 2:15-17, II Chronicles 7:13-15 and James 5:16-18 models. They are designed to break open the heavens for revival and reformation, support the Houses of Prayer and release relevant ‘voices’ of righteousness, truth and justice into the cultural arena.

Hi All!

Many of you have asked how I felt our last Statewide Sacred Assembly in the Sacramento Area (Roseville, CA) went. I think sometimes pictures can best express a moment in time and I think this picture medley of our last Assembly set to Matt Redman’s song “You Never Let Go” captures very well the essence of what God did! Dawn Beard and her crew from Jesus Revolution Now sang this song beautifully in the Assembly and it really was one of the two anthems of our time there in Roseville. OVERVIEW

There were some truly impactful events and prophetic words and experiences that took place in and around our last Assembly that I think will really speak to you and that I will try to articulate as best I can. Let’s get started!




THE SPIRIT OF FIRST LOVE

Besides this Matt Redman song, there was another song I feel captured a key part of the Assembly. It was a song called, “The More I Seek You” by Kari Jobe and was sung by two young ladies in the Assembly with startling voices who I had just met.

This song, and more importantly the anointing behind it, wrecked me completely!!! I woke up at 3am two days after the Assembly with this song stuck to my soul and wept for 5-hours solid under the love and anointing of God. Give it a listen if you get a chance - CLICK HERE! It might just get you too!

I feel that God is going to pour out His Spirit of ‘First Love’ to this generation and soon! I feel this is a sovereign move of God that is coming and that will be defined by this unique manifestation of God’s love. Remember, Jesus is not a tame lion and either is His love!




RECONCILIATION AND REPENTANCE - REGIONAL AND GENERATIONAL

There was also an incredible time of both generational and regional reconciliation and repentance, which I feel is key to unlocking revival in our state and in the nation. This reconciliation was walked out by people representing the three regions of California, and by people representing three different generations as well. This was a very powerful time! These divisions between the regions and the generations have historically created major schisms within our state (the 60’s) and I believe that God wants to begin healing these.

There is a movie called The Tale of Despereaux which I feel is an essential prophetic picture for California right now. It is a tale of a dominoing of misunderstandings, leading to offense, leading to a curse on the land. Finally, a shift occurs, reconciliation takes place, which leads to a reversal of the curse, and finally blessing comes back upon the land. I believe God is in the process of doing this now in California and these two elements of regional and generational reconciliation will be key to the Revival/Reformation we seek.

Lastly, since the Assembly fell on the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashanah, there was a spontaneous and powerful time of Jewish/Gentile reconciliation that was acted out that I felt was significant. I feel that there is a real sovereign calling to prayer on the Messianic Jewish peoples of California and that they will play a key role in the coming move of God. It is the ‘One New Man’ paradigm.




SUMMING UP THE ASSEMBLY

I think these three themes capture the Assembly well: (1) The Spirit of Intimacy and First Love, (2) A Cry for this Generation and Souls, and, (3) Restoration and Reconciliation.

Without the ‘First Love’ we will never be able to go the distance to reach this generation in prayer, fasting and on the ground - Pray, Fast, Go, Speak! Without Restoration and Reconciliation, we in the church will continue to be scattered and overcome by the enemy - a house divided cannot stand!




IN CLOSING

I want to thank all of you who participated and contributed in our last Assembly, some of you even sacrificially! You were all AMAZING! There was truly a sovereign flow to the day and I really felt that we as a diverse community of believers representing the many different streams and regions of California moved together in an incredibly unified way!

I really saw the Glory of God on many of you and I heard new voices emerging, which was very, very exciting to me! If a voice can thunder in the Assembly, it can thunder in our culture and in our society and culture! The Assembly is a living, breathing thing, orchestrated by and through God’s Spirit, allowing for maximum voice participation and maturation through a ‘Community of Friends.’

Ultimately, in our society and in our culture, this will end up being a BATTLE OF THE VOICES and a BATTLE OF THE ASSEMBLIES, both for the minds and souls of our generation! God will expand us and He must! The stakes are very, very high! You are God’s plan! He doesn’t have a back up! You are the Assembly!

NEVER, EVER let go of this generation! Blessings to you all! Keep your eyes open for the next two e-mails! It is about to get crazy up in here!

THE FIRE HOUSE - PART 1


BEFORE THERE WAS ‘IHOP’, THERE WAS ‘THE FIRE HOUSE’

An incredible prophetic word unfolded in and around this last Assembly we held on 9-19-09 in the Sacramento area (Roseville, CA). I have been pondering and praying about it ever since it occurred and have been inquiring of the Lord concerning what it might mean. I feel I have enough insight to begin sharing about it, but I know I don’t have it all and am hoping that some of you can help fill in the gaps.

This word ties directly back to The Jesus Movement, which, by most accounts, more or less lasted from about 1967 to about 1975. It is estimated that several hundred thousand souls came into the Kingdom during these years and there was a tangible anointing for evangelism and soul winning during this time. This period of the late 60’s and early 70’s was probably one of the most tumultuous times in our nation’s history with approximately 1,000,000 college students self-indentifying themselves as ‘Revolutionaries.’ (Vietnam, The Summer of Love, mass protests, the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, Watergate, etc.).

The specific time we are looking back to is July of 1972 and this story relates to one of the first 24/7 Prayer Houses I know of in our generation that was started in Sacramento in this year and that was aptly called ‘The Fire House.’




DICK EASTMAN AND ‘THE FIRE HOUSE’

In 1964, God spoke to Dick Eastman and told him of a prayer ministry that would start 7-years later on Thanksgiving day that would entail ‘a miracle ministry fueled by prayer’ and that it would be ‘a missing link for world revival’ and that it would involve ‘a movement of intercessors.’ Seven years later in 1971—and on Thanksgiving Day—Dick Eastman had the following open vision:

“A detailed vision of the promise given seven years earlier followed. I saw a powerful prayer army involving a people who walked with God. Their power was found in answered prayer Holiness was their joy. Hundreds were joining the ranks as they marched. A revival followed in the wake of their marching.”

“Suddenly, the vision became specific—so specific I had to grab a page of scratch paper and write what I saw. Before me stood a large wood frame structure. It was a house, a very large house, and Christian young people were coming and going. Those residing in this house were here to pray and minister to the Lord. I saw a catchy title written on the outside of the center. It read: ‘THE FIRE HOUSE.’ An occupant explained the reason for the name to me, ‘Every town has a fire house to put out fires. We want to see a special ‘Fire House’ in each community to start fires—fires of revival. That’s our ministry, we start fires!”

“Once inside the center, I saw the key to the whole program. Glancing to my right I noted a special room, marked by a sign attached to the door. Large letters across the top declared: ‘THE GAP.’ Below in smaller letters, was printed: ‘I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land (Ezekiel 22:30).

“I opened the door slightly. There a young lady stood near the middle of the room, looking down upon the globe. She was earnestly praying for different countries of the world. Following this individual came another, then another, and still another. It continued day and night without ceasing. Prayer, actual intercessory prayer, never ceased in this most extraordinary room. Intense intercessory prayer took place 24/7 in this room. The Gap was the focal point of the ministry.”

“As the Spirit of God continued in this unusual tour, I watched the participation of the youth more carefully. They were not “spiritual critics”—the kind of people who think the church has failed miserably. They respected and supported the church.”

“The Vision continued and I jotted down my every observation. A definite key to the ministry, I noted, was centered in the spiritually mature couple directing the program. They served as resident directors under the executive leaders of the project—the local pastor.”

“Each participant of this center came with the understanding of giving a year of his/her life to prayer and evangelism. The first 6-months were given to prayer. The second 6-months were given to evangelism. These youth, in return, received a small weekly allowance for personal needs, food, lodging and gas while ministering. They honored and respected the local church and the local church was rejoicing too because it cost them little to maintain this ministry, though it provided an abundance of helpers for all phases of church activity. The main bulk of those participating were the ‘Cream of the Crop’ high school graduates who were talented and committed and carried Holiness [Isaiah 62:12].”

The vision ended.

THE FIRE HOUSE POPS UP AGAIN, AND THEN AGAIN!

Fast Forward to the Assembly on 9-19-09 in the Sacramento Area. We were conducting our Open Mic time crying out for this generation and were about three-quarters of the way through the Assembly. A messianic Jew who I had never seen before came up, took the mic and spontaneously began talking about a dream he had the previous night. Little did he know that earlier in the day I had printed out the vision of The Fire House that you just read, and, prior to him speaking, was trying to figure out a way to introduce it into the Assembly since I felt it was a really important word over the Sacramento and Northern California region. Well, God provided the intro. Here is the dream he had the night before:

“I saw a fire engine that was on fire and it was inside of a fire station/fire house. The fire house began to catch on fire. It was one story and this signified an open heaven to me. Suddenly, from the burning fire house, a brilliant, blinding light began to radiate from the building, like the Glory of the Lord! The scene shifted in the dream. I was looking in a mirror and I saw in the reflection of the mirror the blazing sun (The Son?)! I woke up.”

O.k., that doesn’t take much interpretation! This Jewish man had never heard of the Fire House before I told him.

And then, when I didn’t think it could get any better, it did! One of the old, original Directors of The Fire House in Sacramento came into the Assembly towards the very end of the gathering. He had not been present when the prophecy from the Messianic Jew was given. He got up and spontaneously began to tell those in the Assembly the history of the The Fire House and its impact on the region and State and the 100-years of cumulative prayer that went up from it! (Multiple people praying 24/7 for many years is how you can equal 100-years of prayer). C’mon God, your killing me! I had to pick my jaw up off the ground!




IS THIS VISION OF THE FIRE HOUSE FOR THE PRESENT?

Yes, I believe the vision is for now! Remember, at the point when The Fire House was actually started in Sacramento in July of 1972, you are about 5-years into the Jesus Movement, which reached its zenith by 1971 by most accounts. This revival was well under way and was, perhaps, even beginning to ebb at this point. So maybe, just maybe, Dick Eastman’s vision was speaking about a day yet to come and maybe it was talking about the present! Whatever the case might be, God seems to be emphasizing this word now!




IN CLOSING - PARALLELS OF THE FIREHOUSE WITH THE SACRED ASSEMBLIES

There are specific elements of Dick Eastman’s vision that directly and keenly relate to the quarterly, Regional Sacred Assemblies and I don’t think it is a coincidence that God dropped this in our laps at this juncture. I want to highlight some of the parallels that stuck out to me and what my interpretation of them are (see further below for a full outline of the Assemblies to see some of the parallels firsthand):

• True 24/7 Houses of Prayer / Fire Houses springing up all over California with the Assemblies acting as a feeder for them
• There will be an emphasis—not just on prayer and fasting—but there will also be a sovereign move of evangelism and powerful voices of Reformation being released into our culture along with the prayer and fasting - Pray, Fast, Go and Speak!
• Holiness will be our joy again
• There will be a merging of the generations, as well as a merging of 3 specific cogs: the church, the Houses of Prayer and the Regional Sacred Assemblies
• This will break out in multiple communities within California simultaneously - i.e. the 8-City/Regions of the RSAs and perhaps beyond
• Hundreds will join the ranks as the marching begins…A Revival/Reformation will follow in the wake of our marching…hmmmm!

Do you believe it? Can you feel the Spirit of God on this? I am beginning to believe it! Why not dream big?

This will be a very, very large ‘Community of Friends’ that carry this mantle with many diverse Christian entities and voices involved, who are all carrying the flame together and who will walk in deferment and humility to one another.

Do you want to be a part? It is a broad space and there is room for many! Remember, you are the Assemblies! We are all in this together and we desperately need your help!

VISION STATEMENT

These ongoing, Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) are 12-hours of continuous prayer/intercession, worship, fasting (we urge everyone to fast on water or juice), humbling ourselves, presenting ourselves before the Lord, supplication / proclamation / decree, open mike, prophetic declaration, preaching, scripture reading, scripture medleys, real time spiritual art, and whatever else God wants to do in a spontaneous format in accordance with the Joel 2:15-17, II Chronicles 7:13-15 and James 5:16-18 models. They are designed to break open the heavens for revival and reformation, support the Houses of Prayer and release relevant ‘voices’ of righteousness, truth and justice into the cultural arena.

Please make note of the upcoming quarterly, Regional Sacred Assembly (RSAs) we have planned in May for Fresno, and then the time frames for the others which will be coming online soon:

• NORTHERN CALIFORNIA: Late March / Early April 2010; (location and date TBA soon)

• SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: April 2010 (location and date TBA soon)

As you can see, we are still looking for facilities for the San Jose or San Francisco area, and the Los Angeles or San Diego area.  We have a few possibilities, but nothing firm yet for these regions.  If you know of a place that can seat at least 500, can you please let us know.  We would be very grateful!

Also, we will need lots of help in EVERY way imaginable (Prayer, Logistics, technology, worshippers, monetary, etc) to pull off these Assemblies.  If God puts it on your heart to put your hand to this, please contact us.  This will be the year the cogs begin to turn in our state.

Holy Spirit Rising!

This is PART 2 of the Firehouse and the Purple Pig.  If you haven’t read Part 1, or you just want to refresh your memory, CLICK HERE. This is probably a good idea since it will give you context for what follows. There is something very sovereign around this Fire House revelation and God seems to be giving very specific clues.  That is the only way I can read what I am about to tell you:


THE FIREHOUSE AND THE PURPLE PIG - PART 2

LOU ENGLE, DICK EASTMAN AND THE 16-CHILDREN

In February of this year, at Mott Auditorium in California, Lou Engle spoke and gave an historical account of the prayer movement he started named The Call.  The Call is a massive Solemn/Sacred Assembly that has been held at various stadiums and venues around the world.  Here is what Lou said in that meeting at Mott:

“In 2004, I was in Colorado doing the 50-days and 50-nights of prayer and fasting and I had a profound dream.  In this dream, I am sitting in the living room of Dick Eastman, a major prayer leader in the 60s,  70’s, and today.  He launched a 24/7 House of Prayer in Sacramento [The Fire House].  I am in his living room with Willie Walsh, the woman who has supported me and who has been my benefactor and helped me to launch The Calls.  In the dream, Dick Eastman is radiating the glory of God and I think it is God, but it is Dick Eastman.  We are in the presence of God. Dick says, “Take a walk with me.” Brian Kim is walking with us.  Dick says, “My wife was a strong woman. She gave birth to 16-children (Roundtable of 16?).”  Then I left them all and went a little further and he began weeping and groaning in intercession.”

“Then I woke up under the Spirit and I felt like the Lord say to me: “The prayer movement of the Call sprung out of Dick Eastman’s living room.  It came out of the prayer movement that birthed the Jesus Movement.  In fact, they had a house in Sacramento where kids would come and give a year of their life to prayer [and evangelism].  I want to believe for a House of Prayer movement in California.  I am believing for a prayer movement to come out of Dick Eastman’s living room that is going to birth the greatest soul winning that we have ever seen!” 

CONNECTING THE PIECES AND SOME CLUES

I don’t believe this dream is random.  It makes a direct connection with Dick Eastman’s Open Vision in 1971 about the Firehouses and ties together the Sacred Assemblies, the 24/7 House of Prayer, The Church, Evangelism and Revival/Reformation.  It connects directly to the Jesus Movement  (CLICK HERE to read the Dick Eastman open vision contained in Part 1 of this series). 

I believe it is these three cogs turning together - The Church, the 24/7 Houses of Prayer and the Sacred Assemblies - that will give us the break through we seek.  I believe the Sacred Assembly is the feeder to make the 24/7 prayer model a reality in our state and others and can help identify voices of both evangelism and revival/reformation for the Church and for the culture.  The Church and the Houses of Prayer are the stewards of the Assemblies!

As your read in Part 1, these Fire Houses were in ‘every town’ and they “started rather than put out fires.” Also in this open vision, the Lord told Dick Eastman that these Fire Houses were “a missing link for world revival” and “would involve a movement of intercessors.” 

That gets my attention!  As I mentioned previously, I don’t think the fulfillment of these words was realized in the 70’s and I believe we might be on the precipice of the beginning of their fulfillment as a large and diverse community of believers each supplying what is lacking!  God is reemphasizing this Fire House word, that is clear to me.



THE PRESENT DAY 24/7 HOUSE OF PRAYER AND THE JOSEPH COMPANY

I believe Brian Kim  in the dream above is relevant since it ties in with the fact that he is one of the directors of the present day 24/7 International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City.  This community has been praying 24/7 these past 10-years and they are currently experiencing a powerful move of God.  I believe there is a direct connection between these two 24/7 prayer houses in two different locations and generations:  one in Sacramento, one in Kansas City, one in the 70’s, one today. 

Willie Walsh is another key since she is the financier for The Call, which speaks to me of the Joseph Company, which is necessary to help finance and give wisdom and ‘know how’ to pull all of the pieces together to help make 24/7 a reality in our state and help establish the Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) in California, and perhaps beyond.  This is a massive undertaking and the administrative and financing anointing will be needed to get to our destination.  The Joseph company also stands in a role of ‘sitting before kings’ in the political realm.



THE ‘ROUNDTABLE OF 16’ AND THE ”16 CHILDREN’

Another striking element of the dream is the reference to the ‘16-Children.’  Now, you never know when it comes to numbers, and who knows if it has anything to do with what I am about to tell you, yet it struck me when I heard it.  I have been trying to figure out why God took me to Sacramento for these past 6-months, especially since I live in Southern California.  I believe part of the reason was for this Fire House revelation and being in the land where it was birthed. 

The Regional Sacred Assemblies are powered by ‘Roundtables of 16’ called the ‘Roundtable of Friendship.’  Sixteen is a very unusual number and when the Lord began speaking to me about this Roundtable of 16 about two or so years ago people used to poke at me and say, “Why not 12?  There were 12 disciples. Yada, yada, yada!”  My response was, “I dunno.” 

I felt the Lord tell me the Roundtable of 16 was to be multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-gender, multi-stream that would power  and maintain the quarterly Assemblies in each of the eight city/regions.  This Roundtable concept would be later confirmed in a very powerful way through a word given by Chuck Pierce in 1998 called the 8-Hub word, which I will discuss in the next e-mail.  This is a pinnacle word for these Assemblies and I believe ties in directly with this Fire House word

The friendship part was given to me in a dream.  Here is that dream:

God can’t help but come when the brethren dwell together in true unity and friendship! Honestly, if we don’t have the true bonds of love and friendship, we will be undone when the enemy comes in as the accuser, and he will come.



MIKE BICKLE ON STAGE AT THE CALL SAN DIEGO ON 11-1-08

About three-quarter of the way through The Call in San Diego, Mike Bickle of IHOP said the following from the stage:

“A young lady came up to me in a Sacred Assembly with a big smile on her face and handed me an ancient wooden box.  I opened it up and inside of it was a very old cologne set.  On each of the cologne bottles was written the word ‘FRIENDSHIP.’   The Lord said, “The Fragrance of Friendship will power the Assemblies!”

To me, the fragrance of friendship is the key to unlocking the fullness of the anointing God has promised.

“Solemn Assemblies touch the Heart of God.  These prayer events are catalytic.  What we are doing today is effective in some measure, just the 12-hours in and of themselves.  But more is going on today than just this.  Events like this stir up the holy imagination of God’s people.  The reports we receive is that many people receive courage, their holy imagination is stirred up and they begin to have Solemn Assemblies in their colleges and in their high schools, and in the marketplace.  Events like this beget more and more events like this—although smaller ones—throughout states and regions.”

“The benefit of this event in and of itself for 12-hours is wonderful and powerful.  But what is going to happen in the lives of many here who will go from here and host local ones, we can’t even begin to measure the impact of that over decades.  When a nation is in crisis and there is no remedy, God says, “Call a Solemn Assembly.”  Out of these events, people get courage to start their own prayer ministries, whether an hour, a day, a week long, or 24/7 or whatever.  They are spawned out of events like this.”

It would be the day after The Call in San Diego that Lou would approach me at a Post-Call reception and personally bless and endorse the Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) I had been talking to him about them for about the past 3-months by that point (please note that I am not  under The Call umbrella).

Lou would tell me during our conversation that it was when he was on stage with Mike Bickle in San Diego and when Mike began talking about the Assemblies from the stage was when the Lord quickened to him about these quarterly Assemblies.  I honor and respect the spiritual heritage of The Call and Lou and have said it many times that I would not know what the Sacred Assembly is part from The Call.

This word from Mike Bickle spoke to me for several other reasons as well.  It was at The Call in 2003 in Pasadena, CA where I would see the Solemn/Sacred Assembly in action for the first time and where I would be totally wrecked.  This would be where my journey for these Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies (RSAs) would begin.  As a direct result of this Call, we eventually began holding Sacred Assemblies at Cal State Long Beach, the second largest campus in California next to UCLA.  It was really from these Assemblies that the concepts and the working out of the vision for the Quarterly Regional Sacred Assemblies was fomented. 

These Assemblies we are doing embody ‘Pray, Fast, Go, Speak’ due in large part to the influence of the campus work I have done and the power I have seen the Assemblies have to break things open.  Ultimately, the mandate of the Assemblies is to help break open the heavens with prayer and fasting over regions and to raise up voices in order to reach souls and begin to break the matrix of secular humanism over our society holding a generation in bondage (think of the fasting/praying Apologist of the 1st - 3rd Century).  It is my belief that in time these Assemblies will be held on the multiple university campuses in California and will be directly connected with the regional Assemblies in a symbiotic manner.

I believe God is laying out clues for a real revival/reformation in California (and perhaps beyond) and they are becoming hard to ignore.  It seems that for so long it has been like the movie National Treasure where we have been searching for clues and we think we finally have found the master clue that will lead to the world’s greatest treasure and then it just leads to another clue, then another, then another and we never quite make it to the treasure.  For the first time in my 22-years of walking with the Lord, I really think we are almost there to lay hold of the treasure, which is Jesus in His true Glory and the Revival/Reformation we seek for the sake of souls!
